A consultation is required if you have had previous cosmetic tattooing done. Please book a free 30 minute Brow Consult on the booking page.

Please note, proper Pre-care and Aftercare are ESSENTIAL to the healing process for cosmetic tattoos and the retention of color and shape. Cosmetic tattooing is an investment in many ways, so please take care to follow these directions. If you have excessive pain, swelling, or any sign of infection, please contact your health care provider immediately.

· It’s always good to remember, the initial results of any cosmetic tattooing service will be bolder, darker, and warmer than when healed. The skin goes through several stages while healing and results will fade anywhere from 30-40%. The first three days are usually the darkest. The area will then start to flake lightly. As the skin heals over the tattoo, it will feel like the color has really faded. After 5-8 weeks, the pigment resurfaces and final results are achieved. After the initial session, a touch-up is usually wanted/needed.

 Discontinue 1 week prior:

• Sun tanning, increased sun exposure, or sun burn prior to your procedure and during the healing process. Sun exposed/tanned skin will affect implanted color negatively.

· Exfoliation of the brow area.

*The healing process takes anywhere from 10-14 days, so plan accordingly. Your brows will go through various stages of healing and must be well taken care of to retain optimal color and avoid infection. Fully healed results are around 4-6 weeks.

*If you are planning for a big event, such as a wedding, I recommend booking your first appointment three months in advance, so we can fit in a touch-up.

Directly before your appointment:

• Avoid excess caffeine, alcohol, and blood thinners at least 24 hours prior to your procedure. Consuming either in large amounts will act as a blood-thinner and cause skin to irritate and bleed. This reduces the pigment absorption as blood will push the colors out, resulting in lessened color retention and slow healing process.

• Remember to eat something 20-30 minutes prior, this will help stabilize your blood sugar, so you’ll be more comfortable and less sensitive! Hydration will also help.

Cosmetic tattooing cannot be performed if you:

• Are currently pregnant or nursing
· Are under the age of 18
• Have cancer/undergoing Chemotherapy
· Have been/are on Accutane (must be off for 1 year)
• Have an open wound(s) present
• Have a bacterial/viral infection
• Are under the influence of drugs or alcohol

Please check with your doctor if you:

• Have uncontrolled diabetes
• Have been in remission from cancer for 1 year
• Have high blood pressure
• Are using blood thinning prescriptions
• Have an autoimmune condition
• Are prone to keloid scarring

Discontinue at least 2 weeks prior:

• Botox, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion
• Retinoids/Retinols of any kind
• All skin care products containing hydroxy acids, salicylic acid, and lightening ingredients. These products can still be used, but you must avoid the brow area prior and after the procedure, as they can cause pigments to fade prematurely and/or alter color.
• Antibiotics
• Brow tinting/henna
